5.1.2.6. USB Configuration
Access this submenu to view the USB device(s) enabled in the system. It also configures
USB-related features.
The featured settings are:

Description / Available Options
Legacy USB Support
Enables/disables legacy USB support including USB flash drives and
USB hard drives.
Options available are
Enabled
: To enable legacy USB support.
Disabled
: To keep USB devices available only for EFI specification,
Auto
: To disable legacy support if no USB devices are connected.
USB3.0 Support
Enables/disables USB 3.0 controller support.
Enabled
is the default.
XHCI Hand-off
This is a workaround for OSes without XHCI hand-off support. The
XHCI ownership change should be claimed by XHCI driver.
The optional settings are:

USB hardware delay
and time-out
This is a submenu to configure the features of USB hardware delay and
time-out. The featured settings are:

time-out
Use this item to set the time-out value for control,
bulk, and interrupt transfers.
Options available are:
1 sec, 5 sec, 10
sec, 20 sec
Device reset
time-out
Use this item to set USB mass storage device
start unit command time-out.
Options available are:
10 sec, 20 sec, 30
sec, 40 sec
Device power-
up delay
Use this item to set maximum time the device
will take before it properly reports itself to the
host controller. ‘Auto’ uses default value: for a
root port it is 100 ms, for a hub port the delay is
taken from hub descriptor.
