In the
pH calibration
menu item, start the mode by
pressing the
OK
button.
Dip the pH probe into the pH 7 buffer solution and
start by pressing the
OK
button.
Press
OK
again to trigger the countdown
After 20 seconds, the control unit shows the value of
the used buffer solution and the slope in mV. If the
calibration is valid, continue by pressing
OK
Then take the probe from the first buffer solution and,
if possible, rinse with water and dry with a dry, lint-free
paper towel.
Caution:
Do not rub the probe to dry it since this causes electrostatic charge and can
result in incorrectly measured values.
Now dip the probe into the second pH 4 buffer solution.
Press
OK
again to trigger the countdown.
After another 20 seconds, the control unit shows the
values
of
the
second
buffer
solution
pH
4.
If the calibration was valid, continue by pressing
OK
The display appears with the specification of the slope
in mV
Go back using
Mode
or accept using
OK
.
The control unit has now been successfully calibrated to
the pH probe and the data has been saved.
If the calibration process was not successful, "Error" is
displayed. Cancel using
Mode
or repeat using
OK
.
There are a number of potential causes of
calibration errors
:
•
You have used the same buffer solution twice during calibration. Correct
calibration can only be carried out with two different technical buffer solutions.
pH 7 first and then pH 4.
•
The measuring cable was connected incorrectly. The pH probe must be connected
to the left socket.
