NOTES FOR MAINTENANCE TECHNICIANS

Compliance with
Machinery Directive 98/37/EC
: When you have installed the equipment, you must complete a
Declaration of
Conformity
and a
Scheduled Maintenance Plan
in compliance with the directive and then hand over copies of these documents
to the user.
Routine maintenance
6.1
You should ask the company that installs the automation to provide a scheduled maintenance plan in compliance with the
regulations for this type of equipment (for EU countries: Machinery Directive 98/37/EC).
•
We recommend that you program the maintenance cycle on the unit (see the section Programming).
When the present number of cycles is reached, the display will fl ash rapidly at start up and when you start programming the
MAN
message will appear fl ashing for approx. 3 seconds. These signals indicate that you should proceed with maintenance.
When you have completed maintenance, program a new cycle on the unit (see the section Programming).
The maintenance intervals and operations recommended by

for the electrical equipment are as follows.

Before you start any maintenance operations, disconnect
the automation from the mains power supply using the
system electrical differential switch. If emergency batteries
are fi tted, disconnect these too!
Batteries are consumables and as such are not covered by
the guarantee.
Do not throw away old batteries with household waste. Dispose
of old batteries using the old battery containers provided at
sales outlets.
INFORMATION FOR THE USER

This instruction manual is an integral part of the product. The instructions and warnings must be given to the user and
then read carefully because they include important warnings for use and maintenance. The instructions must be kept and
given to all future users.
Use this equipment for the permitted uses only. All other uses constitute improper use. All improper use is forbidden and
hazardous.
Do NOT tamper with or modify the product in any way.
Perform maintenance at the recommended intervals. See the maintenance manual and schedule issued by the installer.
Keep remote control and other control units in a safe place to prevent use by children or unauthorised people.
Only suitably skilled technicians trained on the product are authorised to connect up, test, put into service, clean and maintain
this product.
In the event of any faults, switch off the mains power supply at the main On-Off switch. No user serviceable parts inside. Do
not try to repair the main unit. Contact the installer or other specialist assistance centre. Failure to follow these instructions
may result in hazardous situations.

event of an operating fault or a mains power failure you can OPERATE THE BARRIER BEAM BY HAND. (For instructions,
