Specific tooling

020861Y

 

Countershaft bushing punch

•

Shim the crankcase sufficiently in the gearbox area in order to keep it parallel to the work

table.

•

Heat the crankcase to a temperature of 150 °C (302 - °F).

•

On the outside of the crankcase, mark

the passage of the countershaft lubri-

cation oil.

•

Spread grease on the sliding surfaces

of the bushing on the special tool.

NOTE

IF REPLACING THE BALANCING COUNTERSHAFT HALF-BUSHINGS, THREE SELECTIONS
CHARACTERISED BY THE FOLLOWING COLOURS ARE AVAILABLE AS SPARE PARTS:

•

RED;

•

YELLOW;

•

BLUE.

PREFERABLY INSTALL THE PAIR OF BLUE HALF-BUSHINGS OR, IF THEY ARE NOT AVAILA-
BLE, USE A PAIR OF YELLOW - RED HALF-BUSHINGS.

•

Install the new bushing, aligning the

hole with the slot on the ring of the spe-

cial tool.
