Using the SETUP utility

System Choices are either On or Off. The default is on. This sets the
Boot-up state of the “Num Lock” key on your keyboard when the
Num Lock system boots.
If you regularly use the numeric keypad on your keyboard to
enter numerical data then the default will suit you. If, on the
other hand, you use the numeric keypad as cursor control keys
then you may prefer to select Off.
System This option determines which drive the system checks first to
Boot-up find an operating system to boot from. The following options
Sequence are available:
•
Drive A: before C: (default). The system checks drive A
before checking drive C. This selection allows you to
boot from a diskette if necessary.
•
Drive C: before A: The system checks drive C first.
•
Check only C: The system checks drive C and no other
drives.
System The choices are either HIGH or LOW. The default is high. If
Boot Up high is selected, the system boots with the processor running
CPU Speed at full speed. If low is selected, the system goes into deturbo
mode, which results in slower operation, equivalent to a 10MHz
80286 processor.
Cache The choices are either enabled or disabled. The default is enabled.
Memory This option enables or disables the cache integrated in the
processor and the external cache.
Network The choices are either enabled or disabled. The default is disabled.
Password If this option is enabled, the user will be prompted for a password
Checking when attempting to connect to a network.
ISA Linear This option currently has no effect.
