Bluetooth modes
Bluetooth has the following three different modes.
Mode
Description
On
Bluetooth is turned on and your device can detect other Bluetooth enabled
devices.
Off
Bluetooth is turned off and you cannot send/receive information.
You can save battery power on the Off mode.
Visible
Bluetooth is turned on, and all other Bluetooth-enabled devices can detect
your device.
[Note]
• Bluetooth is set off by default. When you set it on and then turn off your device,
Bluetooth also turns off. When you turn on the device again, Bluetooth automatically
turns on.
• When you are in places where using wireless device is prohibited, such as hospitals
or airplanes, you might want to turn the radio off.
Bluetooth partnerships
For a secure exchanging, a Bluetooth partnership between your device and
another Bluetooth-enabled device is needed. By entering the same Bluetooth
passcode on both devices, you can set a partnership. And once a partnership is
created, the devices don’t require you to enter a passcode again. Be sure that
Bluetooth is turned on and set to visible mode on two devices.
