2.5 Handling fuel
Gasoline is flammable. Store it in an approved container and use caution when refuelling the log
loader, ATV or tractor. Once the tank is full, put the cap back on and tighten it firmly. Then wipe up
any gasoline that may have spilled.
Never refuel when the engine is hot or running. Always have a working fire extinguisher handy.
2.6 Handling hydraulic oil
A pressurized oil leak can cause serious injury.
If you are using a tractor and hydraulic hoses run through the cab or near the operator, install hose
protectors to prevent damage.
Never try to locate a leak with your hands. Instead, use an object, such as a piece of cardboard.
When handling hydraulic oil or hydraulic hoses, wear suitable long- sleeved clothing, gloves,
goggles and protective footwear.
Before connecting or disconnecting hydraulic hoses, shut off the loader and tractor/ATV engines
and relieve the pressure. Firmly tighten all the couplings before restarting the engine or reapplying
hydraulic pressure.
Hydraulic oil is flammable. Store it in an approved container and handle it carefully when filling the
tractor tank. Once the tank is full, put the cap back on and tighten it firmly. Then wipe up any oil
that may have spilled.
Never add oil when the engine is hot or running. Always have a working fire extinguisher near the
log loading and unloading area.
Should any hydraulic oil penetrate your skin,
quickly consult a physician who is familiar with this
type of injury. Left untreated, such an injury can
result in serious complications or even require
amputation.
2.7 Transporting the log loader
When driving on the road, comply with all local identification and lighting regulations. Anderson
Group recommends always attaching the safety chains to the machine and tractor and locking the
locking pin with a pin.
