2.3 Safety perimeter
Avoid distractions when operating, hitching or installing optional parts on the log loader. Ensure
that nobody is nearby while operating the log loader.
You, the operator, should be the only person near the machine. Remember that you are in a danger
zone and that the boom rotates 360°.
A 10 m (30 ft.) safety perimeter must remain in
place while the machine is running. Keep everyone
besides the operator (especially children and pets)
away from the collection area. Failure to do so can
cause serious or even fatal injury.
Use extra caution if operating the log loader near
power lines. A power line touching the boom,
grapple,
bucket
or
auger
can
result
in
electrocution.
