2 Safety precautions
Your Anderson log loader was designed to minimize risk to the operator. Nevertheless, it must only
be used for its intended purpose. Misuse of the loader may result in injury to the operator.
The log loader has a hydraulic system and moving mechanical parts. All these components can
cause serious or even fatal injury to people and animals. It is strongly recommended that you
carefully read and follow the guidelines below.
2.1 Operator skills and abilities
Familiarize yourself with the operating procedures before using your Anderson log loader. Also
insist that everyone who uses your loader follow these procedures. Ensure that all operators of your
loader:
l
Are responsible;
l
Have been trained to safely operate the loader;
l
Know how to make an emergency stop and quickly disable the controls;
l
Know the emergency phone numbers;
l
Can locate the first aid kit.
2.2 Operation
The log loader must only be used to handle logs. If equipped with the necessary optional parts, the
loader can also dig, level ground, drill holes or transport materials such as soil or gravel. These are
the only uses that are permitted with the log loader. Avoid all other uses, such as transporting
people or livestock.
