AMX TDS (Television Delivery System) 

Receiver Setup - Network Settings (Cont.)

Network Settings

• Unit Name:

Displays the name currently assigned to the selected Receiver. 

Note: By default, they are named according to their MAC Addresses, with the 
prefix "Rx -" to indicate Receivers. 

To change the Unit Name, type the new name here.

• DHCP / Static IP:

Select either DHCP (default setting), or Static IP.

By default, DTV Receivers are set to DHCP.

If 

Static IP

 is selected, the following IP address fields are enabled, and 

required:

Note: Network Settings can also be set via a local command line interface (see 
the Serial Commands

section on page 79

).

IP Address: 

Assign a valid IP Address for the Receiver (Static IP only).

Subnet Mask: 

Assign a valid Subnet Mask for the Receiver (Static IP only).

Gateway:

This display-only field provides the Gateway Address of the 
selected Receiver.

MAC Address:  This display-only field provides the MAC Address of the 

selected Receiver.

Note: All DTV Transmitters and Receivers must have an assigned IP Address, 
Network Mask, and Gateway Address in order for the DTV system to work 
correctly. This applies to units that utilize DHCP and to units that have been 
assigned Static IP addresses. If you are using DHCP, verify that these address 
assignments are provided by the DHCP Server.

• Update:

Saves the network settings for the selected Receiver.

Unit Status

• Current Status:

Indicates that the selected Receiver is online or offline.

• Send Poll:

Click to send a poll to the selected Receiver to see if it is online.

Note: It can take up to 5 seconds before the poll will state the unit is offline.

• Refresh:

Click to refresh the unit status.

Reset to Default

• Reset to default:

Click to reset the Network Settings for selected Receiver to DHCP.
