Transmitter Setup - Tuner Setup (DTV-TX02-DVB-S)
Manage Unit
• Device List:
The Manage Unit window displays a list of all DTV Transmitters connected to
the Master. Click
Refresh
to refresh the list.
• Refresh:
Click to refresh the Transmitters list (in the
Manage Unit
window).:
Tuner A/B Channels - DVB-S
• Tuner Output IP Address:
Enter the multicast address for the stream which the selected Tuner will output.
• Port:
This read-only field indicates the output port used by the Transmitter for
streaming output.
• Local Oscillator Frequency: Enter the frequency in MHz of the RF signal at the Tuner input.
This should range between 950 to 2150MHz, after the LNB Local Oscillator
frequency of 9750 or 10600MHz has been subtracted from the actual broadcast
frequency (typically 9750 if no 22kHz signal tone or 10600 if tone present).
• Symbol Rate:
Enter the symbol rate in symbols/sec.
• FEC:
• Set FEC to 7 for all cases, this will automatically detect the FEC code.
• Number of PIDs Used:
Each channel uses some number of PIDs to deliver various aspects of the
stream. This read-only field indicates the number of PIDs used by the selected
channels.
• The maximum number of PIDs allowed for non-Full Stream is 22.
• This value only applies to individually selected channels (as opposed to
Full
Stream
).
Note: Always refresh the Number of PIDs Used value after selecting channels
(via the Refresh button), to ensure that the number of PIDs used by the
selected channels has not exceeded 22.
• Scan:
Click to initiate a scan for transponders, based on the parameters entered.
Note: This scan may take several minutes to complete, depending on the
number of frequencies, and the number of channels present
• Refresh:
Click to refresh the read-only
Number of PIDs Used
value (see above), after
selecting or de-selecting channels.
Stream
Each stream detected by the Tuner is displayed in this area. Depending on the provider, there may be any
number of Streams available. Each Stream indicated here provides the following information and options:
• Stream Number:
This read-only field indicates the Stream Number used by the selected
Transmitter.
• Full Stream (Tuner A only):
Select this option to multicast all channels within the transport stream.
"Full Stream" is a technology that uses a hardware accelerated filtering method
to improve the performance and visual quality of streaming video playback.
Note: If streaming has been changed between Full Stream and individual
channel selection the unit will automatically reboot.
The "Full Stream" option is available only for Tuner A:
• Tuner A can perform a full stream or output up to 5 channels.
• Tuner B can output up to 5 channels, but does not support Full Stream.
