Installing DTV-TX-DVB Transmitters
Applying Power to the Transmitters
Each DTV-TX-DVB Transmitter receives 12 VDC power via the 2-pin captive-wire PWR connector on the
rear panel (FIG. 54).
Refer to the Rear Panel - 12VDC PWR Connector section on page 28 for details on the power connection.
Connecting TV Sources to the Transmitters

DTV-TX01-DVB-T Transmitters receive Terrestrial digital TV broadcasts, and connect to an aerial
(antenna).

DTV-TX02-DVB-S Transmitters receive Satellite digital TV broadcasts, and connect to a satellite
dish.
Connecting a Terrestrial Source to DTV-TX01-DVB-T Transmitters
Each DTV-TX01 Transmitter has two tuners labelled
RF1
and
RF2
, with TV aerial plug inputs (Belling-Lee
connectors) on the rear panel.
To connect the terrestrial source to the DTV-TX01, connect the TV aerial (antenna) to the
RF IN 1
or
RF IN 2
tuner input (FIG. 55):

This could be a connection direct from the aerial, or it could be via a splitter in order to connect to
multiple Transmitters.

Where the aerial feed is split, use an active splitter to avoid loss of signal strength.

Power Supply
For DTV-TX02-DVB-S Transmitters, LNB power and 22kHz tone need to be added at
the head-end.

The terrestrial aerial should be installed by a professional installer, ensuring that the
signal levels conform to the requirements listed in the Recommended Signal
Levels
section on page 38 .
