4. A telemetry test typically runs for 120 seconds but may be stopped at any time by pressing left or
by selecting and activating “UNFORCED” as an output. While a test is running, it is possible to
select and activate another test.
5.8 ILAC Linearity Test
The detector should respond linearly to a change in the gas concentration, whilst within the designed
measurement range. The linearity test function may assist in meeting regulatory and operational
requirements for maintenance of the GG2 system. Linearity test results are available in the Modbus table
(refer to Section 7.2.1.5).
CAUTION!
The linearity test may trigger alarms and setpoint flags.
The linearity test will NOT adjust the detector and is only used to verify the performance of the detector.
The linearity test should be carried out in accordance with relevant legislation to ensure compliance. The
linearity test consists of 1-6 measurement points, which typically correspond with varying gas
concentrations to cover the measurement range between zero and full scale of the sensor. The process
for gathering checkpoints is as follows:
1.
Navigate the menu tree to the “ILAC LINEARITY TEST” screen, see Section 6.1 for more info.
The authorisation screen, Section 6.1.2.1, will appear and must be acknowledged by pressing the
centre segment of the keypad to progress.
