AREA ALARM
The Amico Alert-1 Series of Master and Area Alarms are precision electronic monitoring and
alarm instruments that are factory calibrated and set according to the most current N.F.P.A. and
CSA standards.
The N.F.P.A. 1993 edition specifies that all pressure gas alarm points
"shall indicate if the
pressure in the piping system increases or decreases 20% from the NORMAL OPERATING
pressure.

The Alarm is factory calibrated to the above set-points. The Alarm is also pre-calibrated to
ALTERNATE OPERATING set-points for hospitals whose gas pressures are higher than
normal.

Change jumper SW2 on the Area board as shown in the at-
tached Figure.
The calibrations on the Alarm should not be changed in the
