Functions Description
IP Address
If TCP/IP communication is used, the IP address
should not match with any IP address of other
computers on the LAN. The IP address should also
not be duplicated if there are two or more devices.
Subnet Mask
The subnet mask can be set automatically after
setting the IP address.
Default
Gateway
Used for connecting device from the outside
connection to the local network.
RS 485
RS232 and RS485 are two modes of serial
communication. RS485 has greater communication
distance than RS232, but its quality and speed is
not as good as that of RS232. It is suggested that
the communication distance should not exceed
1200 meters.
Ethernet
If set to "Yes", the computer can operate a TCP/IP
connection with the device. Otherwise the
connection will not work.
GLog Warn
Attendance
Records
Warning
If the number of attendance records is close to
reaching capacity, a message will prompt that the
attendance records are close to be full. If the
device exceeds capacity, the old attendance
records will be overwritten. Up to 2000 records
will be overwritten each time (Range 1-1500).

If the number of management records is close to
reaching capacity, a message will prompt that the
management records are close to be full. If
exceeding 1000, older management records will be
overwritten. (Range 1-255).
