Carrying out the measurement
6.5.1
Preparing the measuring procedure
Before starting the measurement, proceed as follows:
1. Ensure that the spectrum calibration has been performed.
2. Proceed with the calibration, if required; see page 36.
3. Check the safety measures if working with hazardous or corrosive samples is
required.
The instrument is now ready for measuring samples.
Spectrum calibration of the optical system
The spectrum calibration of the optics is mandatory:
after a software message (spectrum drift).
after the system has been switched on and after the temperature stabilization.
before setting up a new method.
before proceeding with high-precision measurements.
