4.5.5 Configuration of Automatic Mode (Quench A)
Having set up the primary and secondary measurement channels to give
accurate temperature measurements in the normal way and having set up the
speed input to one of the pre-defined ranges, the Automatic quench rate can
now be configured.
Using the standard menu entry select the required maths function menu in
the normal way.
Select ‘type’ of maths function option and use the
↑
or
↓
to select the
Quench A option.
The following screen will now be displayed.
Now allocate the individual measurement channels to the Quench A maths
function in the correct order, ensuring that the speed channel is the last
channel allocated.
Example: If an ABT/S system thermometer is configured in Channel A then:
Channel B = AET
Channel C = AQT
Channel D = Speed sensor (0 to 1m/s, for example see Section 4.5.3)
If incorrect channel selection/order is entered then exiting the menu
will be prevented.
Having selected the channels the following further parameters will need
to be entered.
