LMG AE
It has been found during development trials that some high magnesium content
alloys have a very different emissivity-versus-wavelength slope and require
additional trim for accuracy.
For such alloys the value of
H5
should be increased (positively) from its factory
default value of
0
. A range of -10 to +20 has been allowed to deal with any
other unusual combinations of alloying elements.
Other than for such unusual alloys, this parameter should be left at the factory
default setting of
0
.
Constants
C
and
D
(processor parameters
H6
and
H7
) are the wavelength trim
values for the two principal operating wavelengths of the instrument. They should
be set to the values as documented on the body of the thermometer head.
NOTE
Increasing the value of
H5
will decrease the processor indicated
temperature and vice versa.
NOTE
It is recommended that these values are noted, together with the
instrument serial number in the User Guide for the particular
thermometer head.
