4.5.3 Connecting the Power Supply
Connecting the Cables
An easily accessible disconnect device, such as a switch or circuit breaker
along with a separate fuse, must be fitted to the power supply wiring, one
each per (mains-powered) sensor and purge blower unit. These must be
located so they can be reached easily (within a radius of 2 m/6½ ft). Isolation
devices should connect/disconnect both mains Live (L) and mains Neutral
(N) and must be clearly marked as the disconnecting device for the unit. The
contact gap of the disconnect device must be at least 3 mm.
Wiring the Mains Supply
1) Referring to Fig. 3-2 (on page 3-2), undo the 4 off screws and open the
hinged sensor enclosure lid.
