Maintenance
1.
Before servicing, ensure gas and power supplies are OFF.
2.
Remove the surround (recommended - see
Section 16
).
3.
Remove the barrier screen (see
Section 14
).
4.
Remove the door assembly (see
Section 15
).
5.
Remove the burner media (see
Section 18
).
6.
Lift up on the Pilot Shield to remove.
7.
Installation is the reverse of removal.
20.5 Adjusting the Primary Air
The UF0500-2 includes an air shutter located under the door of the fireplace which may be used to adjust the primary air to achieve
the ideal flame as shown in
Figure 20.5.01
. To adjust, use a screwdriver to turn the air shutter adjustment screw as shown in
Figure
20.5.02
. To open the air shutter and increase air flow to the burner, turn the adjustment screw clockwise. To close the air shutter and
decrease air flow to the burner, turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise.
CAUTION:
Do not adjust primary air below specified opening on the rating plate.
