2110A PT Peanut Combine
Maintenance
Chain Adjustment
The chain drives must be properly
maintained for the combine to function
correctly. Proper chain alignment and
tension are very important.
To check and adjust the chains:
1. Make sure the tractor engine is shut off.
2. Open or remove the shields which cover
the chains.
3. Check chains and sprockets for wear.
Replace if necessary.
4. The chains should have no more than
one inch of play when checked in the
middle. Adjust using the chain idlers.
Note that chains linking the disc separator
shafts together should have no more than
½” play.

Raise shields to access drive chains
CAUTION
NEVER replace a chain only without
checking for sprocket wear, too. New
chains must run on sprockets with no
visible wear to prevent premature wear of
chains and/or sprockets.
