Connect an external device to the back of the main unit.

 
Prior to connecting, turn down the volume of the Apparatus.
Leave the external device turned off.
Using a 

Stereo Mini-plug-Stereo mini-plug cable

 (commercially available), 

connect the external output terminal (or headset terminal) of your device to the 
external device input terminal on the back of the Apparatus.

  

Press the [Function          ] key to select AUX.

 

  

Turn on the external device to play back.

 
For operation of the external device, see its instruction manual.

Random Playback

Press the [Shuffle

Connect iPod to the iPod terminal.

 

  

Press the [Function          ] key to select iPod.

 

  

Press the [Playback/Pause      ] key to play back.

Pausing Playback

Press the [Playback/Pause     ] key.

 
To restore normal playback, press the [Playback/Pause     ] key again.

Stopping Playback

Press the [Stop      ] key.

Skipping the Track

Press the [Skip          ] key.

Fast-Rewinding/Fast-Forwarding the iPod

Press the [Fast-Rewind     ] or [Fast-Forward     ] key.

Hold down the [Skip          ] key.

Cancels repeat playback

"Random mode" nor "Repeat mode" are not indicated on the display while 
the iPod is played. Please check the inserted iPod unit when checking the 
playing contents.

While playing back iPod, no track number, elapsed time of track, etc. appear 
in the display area of the main unit.
Check the display of the iPod body.
