PRIOR TO USE

CONSTRUCTION 

(REMOTE CONTROLLER)

ADJUSTING THE CLOCK

 Power Key

iPod Key

Selects playback of iPod 
connected to the iPod terminal.

Plug a power socket onto the power terminal on the back of the main unit.
Connect the power cord to an AC adapter and connect the power plug to a plug socket.

CD Key

Selects playback of the CD set in 
the disk slot.

AUX key

Selects the sound of the device 
connected to the external device 
input terminal.

Eject Key

Ejects a CD.

Infrared Ray Transmitter

Sleep Key

Sets a sleep timer.

Snooze Key

Interrupts an alarm sound 
temporarily.

 Up Key

Down Key

Alarm Key

Turns on/off the alarm.

Display Key

Changes over a playback time display.

Playback/Pause Key

Starts or pauses playback.

Stop Key

Stops playback.

Skip Key

Skips to the start position of the 
currently played-back or next track.

Shuffle Key

Plays back at random.

Repeat Key

Repeatedly plays back one or all 
songs.

Mute Key

Mutes the sound.

Direct Song Select Keys

When CD is selected, a track 
number can be directly selected 
to play back a song.

Function Key

Changes over a sound source.

Fast-Rewind/Fast-Forward Key

Fast-rewinds or fast-forwards a CD.

Volume-up Key

Turns up the volume.

Volume-down Key

Turns down the volume.

Press the [Power      ] key.

The power is turned on to illuminate the display

Hold down the [Up      ] key.

After holding it down, release it.

Press the [Up      ] and [Down      ] keys to adjust a time.

* When this is done, you can press the [Display] key to change over between 12-hour and 24-hour display modes.

Press the [Snooze          ] key to settle.

Press the snooze key within 5 seconds.

Setting the Battery in the Remote Controller

Slide and remove a battery cover on the back of the 

     remote controller.

Set the button battery CR2032 in the remote controller.

Put back the battery cover.

* Set the battery in the correct direction (+ and -).
* Remove the out-of-life battery immediately from the remote 

controller. If it is left inside, it may cause a burst or a liquid 
leakage.

* If the battery liquid is leaking, remove it from the remote 

controller immediately to dispose of it. When this is done, 
care should be fully taken not to allow your skin or clothes 
to come into contact with the leaking battery liquid. If the 
battery liquid is stuck to the remote controller, wipe it off 
completely, and then, set a new battery.

* Prior to replacing with the new battery, clean the battery 

case.

* Dispose of the used battery according to the local ordinances 

or rules.

 Remote Controller

Main Unit

When operating the Apparatus with a remote controller, direct its infrared ray transmitter to 
the remote-control signal receiver of the main unit. A remotely controllable distance is up 
to 6 m from the main unit.

*  If the remotely controllable distance is shortened, replace the remote controller’s battery with new one.
* If the remote-control signal receiver is exposed to the direct sunshine or a light from a high-frequency 

lighting (inverter type, etc.) fluorescent lamp, the Apparatus may not function properly. If this is the case, 
relocate it to avoid malfunctioning.
