Selecting the Sound Source

BASIC OPERATION

LISTENING TO THE CD

Inserting a CD in the disk slot

 
Insert it with the labeled side (printed side) facing the right.
Once the CD is inserted in the disk slot, it is automatically drawn inside.

* Only 12-cm CDs are acceptable.
* Do not force the CD into the disk slot.
* Do not put a foreign substance into the disk slot.
* The CD is automatically ejected if it is reversely inserted or an unacceptable 
   one is inserted.
* The Apparatus is designed to play back a music CD (CD-DA) format; 
   it does not respond to MP3 or WMA recorded in CD-R or CD-RW.

Inserted CD will be automatically played.

 
If the CD has been already set in the main unit, press the [Function          ] key to 
select CD, followed by the [Playback/Pause      ] key.

Using the Headset

Connect the headset’s stereo mini-plug to the headset terminal.
Once the headset is connected, the sound from the speaker is muted.

Press the [iPod      ], [CD      ] and [AUX      ] keys.

 
Or, press the [Function          ] key.

Press the [Function          ] key.

* The selected sound source appears in the function display area.

Muting the Sound Temporarily

Press the [Mute      ] key.

 
The sound is muted temporarily.
To turn on the sound again, press the [Mute] key or [Volume] key.

Pausing Playback 

Press the [Playback/Pause      ] key.

  
To restore normal playback, press the [Playback/Pause      ] key again.

Stopping Playback

Press the [Stop      ] key.

Skipping the Track

Press the [Skip          ] key.

Fast-Rewinding/Fast-Forwarding the CD

Press the [Fast-Rewind      ] or [Fast-Forward      ] key.

Hold down the [Skip          ] key.

Playing Back a Selected Song

Press the [Direct Song Select] keys to enter song numbers.

 
Press the keys as follows for the 11th song onward.

11th song

22nd song

:   →    →  

20th song

:   →    

(starts playback after 3 seconds)

Ejecting the CD

Press the [Display           ] key.

Press the [Eject      ] key.
