Insert air duct of the air inlet side into the masonry,
center on the air inlet of the unit and secure in ma-
sonry (see instructions )...
Support air duct with wood slats, then check the
spacing and horizontal and vertical alignment and
correct, if necessary (air inlet and outlet of the unit
must be centered on the air ducts).
Insert foam in hollow spaces between air ducts and
masonry inside and outside of the building so that
they are watertight...
After foam has hardened, cut off any protruding
foam.
CautIon.
Insulate the discrepancy between the air
duct end(s) and the wall sink edge to pre-
vent moisture penetration of the mason-
ry. the insulation must be watertight and
uv-resistant. take into account the in-
stalled depth of any weather grilles.
protect air duct inlets outside of the building...
If air ducts are above-ground, insert and secure
weather grilles at air duct inlet and outlet...
If air ducts are below-ground (for example, in light
wells), mount wire mesh grille (wire mesh 12 x 12
mm, exposed cross section ≥ 80%) on the air duct
inlet and outlet...
Weather grilles and wire mesh grilles are accesso-
ries that are not included in the scope of delivery.
Apply insulation tape (width: 10 mm) to the connec-
tions between the heat pump and the air ducts.
notICe.
Insulation tape applied together with be-
tonite waterstop tape provides a dou-
ble seal, which prevents the transmission
of cold air and therefore moisture at the
connections between the heat pump and
the air ducts.
CautIon.
apply insulation tape over the betonite
waterstop tape from air ducts all the way
to the housing of the heat pump. Insula-
tion tape must have direct contact with
the housing of the heat pump.
1 Air duct
2 betonite waterstop tape
3 Heat pump housing
4 overlapping of heat
pump ca. 5 – 10 mm
5 Insulation tape (width: 10mm)
Wind insulation tape completely around the air duct
and attach with the air duct and the heat pump...
Remove support slats under the air ducts.
