Derating Graph - Operating Properties and Ambient Temperature

The input voltages (Vin) in the derating graph in Figure 17 include a
tolerance of +10% nominal value. The derating properties correspond to a
vertically mounted device. The operational ambient temperature varies
depending on mounting orientation. Vertical orientation for the device is
strongly recommended for best convection cooling. Refer to “Power
Supply Orientation” on page 44.
