Sample Installations of the AT-3624TRS Module
This section contains three separate procedures that detail sample
installations of the AT-3624TRS. They are:
❑
Installing the Slave standalone.
❑
Installing the Slave in a non-managed hub configuration in a two-
slot rackmount chassis.
Warning
Improper installation of the chassis can expose personnel to high voltages,
risking the possibility of injury or death.
Caution
Improper installation can expose the module to debris and block vents,
causing damage due to insufficient cooling.
Installing the AT-3624TRS as a standalone device
The following procedure details how to install an AT-3624TRS in a
standalone configuration.
1.
Plug one end of the power cord into the repeater and the other end into
your power outlet.
2.
Check to see that the Power indicator illuminates.
3.
Check to see that the repeater performs a self-test, temporarily
illuminating all port LEDs in sequence, beginning with port 1 and
continuing with port 2, port 3 and so forth. The self-test recurs until a
port is connected.
4.
Plug in your data cables to the hub and the network.
The Link indicator for each connected ports will illuminate.
If one or more of the ports are transferring data, the Activity
indicator will illuminate.
The AT-3624TRS is now ready to serve as a non-managed standalone hub.
