Table 7 shows the ATI micro transceivers available for network
connections.

Station Ports
The AT-3624TRS repeater is factory built with 24 RJ45 connectors.
UTP Hub-to-MAU
Wiring
For a 10BASE-T link between a hub and a Media Access Unit (MAU)
transceiver or Network Interface Controller (NIC) the cable is wired
straight-through. That is, an RJ45 receptacle at the hub would wire pin-
to-pin to the RJ45 receptacle at the MAU. The AT-3624TRS follows IEEE’s
10BASE-T hub standard for an embedded crossover function. Each port is
an MDI-X interface with the receive and transmit pairs crossed internally.
Attention
For information on UTP cabling, refer to Appendix A, “UTP Wiring
Specifications” on page 41.
LED Displays
The LEDs intentionally do not reflect real-time activity on the
AT-3624TRS because a data packet is too fast for the human eye to
distinguish on the LED indicator; therefore, the hub artificially stretches
the LED ON time for observation.
Hub Indicators
Hub LED indicators for the AT-3624TRS repeater are described below:
POWER—Green whenever power is applied.
FAULT (OFF under normal operational conditions)—Stays red for a very
short time while power-ON/reset diagnostics are run; remains solid red if
a malfunction is detected during the diagnostics.
ACTIVITY—The Activity indicator will flash when Ethernet packets are
being transmitted to all repeater ports.
