4.2. Configuration from the front panel
The IPA3000C01 has three operating modes: automatic, semiautomatic and manual.
The operating mode is selected by pressing the SELECT button in the MODE box on the
front panel. Pressing the button cycles through the modes in the following order:
automatic mode, semi-automatic mode and manual mode.
4.3. Functional description
4.3.1. Operation in automatic mode
In this mode the IPA3000C01 automatically selects the highest priority, error-free,
active input at all times. The priority of each input is set with a parameter value
ranging from 0 to 3, where 0 is the highest priority and 3 is the lowest. However,
priority can be assigned to the possibility of seamless switching, such that if an error
is detected in one input the unit will switch to the next highest priority input that is
capable of seamless switching as opposed to simply selecting the next highest priority
input.
An error status is produced when no signal is present at a given input, when the
frame synchronization or megaframe synchronization (megaframe synchronization
only in DVB-T mode) is invalid or when the corresponding GPI for the given input is
connected to ground.
When an error at the input is produced the IPA3000C01 will only switch to a lower
priority input when that input is error-free.
In order to avoid unnecessary switching a recovery time parameter can be set that
