INTERMITTENT RED FLASHING LED
Two things can cause the intermittent flashing of the red LED; put the unit into self-
diagnostic operation while the LED is flashing to diagnose the problem. If it is not
flashing at present it could be one of the following:-
1. Induced voltage on the cable for the outdoor thermistor. This cable is 5 volts DC. 5
Volts DC can be induced easily if it is run with power wires between the indoor and
outdoor units. When the indoor PCB picks up 5 volts it assumes the outdoor coil
thermistor is shorted. In this case the cable must be changed over to shielded
cable with the shield connected to earth.
2. A refrigeration problem (check refrigerant charge) could cause the LED to flash
intermittently by the sensor readings not changing over a period of time, see table
page
