STORAGE
Storage Safety
• Store the unit in an area away from human activity.
• Do not permit children to play on or around the stored machine.
• Store the unit in a dry, level area. Support the frame with planks if required.
Placing In Storage
After the season’s use or when the machine will not be used for a period of time, completely inspect all
majorsystems of the 3-Point hitch Wood Chipper. Replace any worn or damaged components to prevent any
unnecessary down time at the beginning of the next season.
Follow this procedure before storing:
• Remove all material form the machine.
• Thoroughly wash the machine with a pressure washer or water hose to remove all dirt, mud or debris.
• Inspect all rotating parts for entangled material. Remove all entangled material.
• Run the machine a few minutes to dry the moisture from inside the machine.
• Move the feed hopper up and lock.
• Touch up all paint nicks and scratches to prevent rusting.
• It is best to store the machine inside. If that is not possible, cover with a waterproof tarpaulin and tie down
securely.
• Store in an area away from human activity.
• Do not allow children to play around the stored unit.
Removing From Storage
• Remove the tarpaulin if covered.
• Review and follow the pre-operation checklist.
