1. Create a single remote boot image file (NET$DOS.SYS)
A. Boot a workstation from floppy or hard disk, and log in as
SUPERVISOR.
B. Insert the bootable diskette in drive A. The bootable diskette
must include AUTOEXEC.BAT, drivers and shell files
such as LSL, RPLODI, ETHER16, IPXODI, and NETX. The
contents of the bootable diskette are as follows:
COMMAND.COM
AUTOEXEC.BAT *
LSL.COM
RPLODI.COM
ETHER16.COM (depends on the LAN card you are using)
IPXODI.COM
NETX.EXE *
NET.CFG
The contents of the asterisk marked files are:
AUTOEXEC.BAT
Prompt $p$g lsl rplodi ether16 ipxodi netx f: login
NETX.CFG
(This is optional) link driver ETHER16 int 3 port 300 frame
Ethernet_802.3
NOTE: If you use the CONFIG.SYS in the bootable diskette, it is
important to make sure the command lastdrive=z is not in
this file. Otherwise it is optional to have CONFIG.SYS in
the diskette.
The above descriptions are based on NetWare 3.11. If the user wishes
to use NetWare 3.12 or above, the contents of the bootable disk is :
COMMAND.COM
