Changing the number of rings before calls go to voicemail
You can change the number of times a call rings on your extension, before the call is directed to voicemail.
An identity refers to a user extension, an auto attendant, or an email address. The Administrator creates and
assigns identities for you, which typically refer to your extension numbers. If you have identities assigned,
they appear in the identities pane, on the bottom-left of the UC client window.
To change the number of rings
On the identities pane, select the identity that you want to change, and select the
Number of rings
from the
drop list. The default number of rings is 4.
Setting the message waiting light on your phone
Through the NetVanta UC client, you can set how the message waiting light on your phone operates.
To set the message waiting light on your phone
1. Select
Tools > Options
.
2. In the
General
tab, select one of the following options.
Use system defaults
The message waiting light behavior for your phone is
set according to the system wide setting set by your
administrator.
Never turn on or off
UC Server does not manage the message waiting
light
Turn on when new message arrives
Turn off when first message is accessed in
mailbox
The light turns off when you access the first new
message in your mailbox.
Turn off when no more new messages in
mailbox
The light turns off when you access the last new
message in your mailbox.
