Removing the first spring is the most difficult, as the other spring will tend to
restrict movement of the spring.
2. Slip the springs off of the horseshoes. Refer to the following figure.

The narrowest part of the horseshoe is 90° from the groove in which the spring
end normally rests.
3. Repeat these steps for the remaining spring.
