Provisioning Storage Manually
Note
Use this provisioning method for systems running any supported OS other
than Windows 2003.
When you provision storage manually, you create a
logical device
in Adaptec Storage
Manager that becomes the
iSCSI target
accessed by an iSCSI initiator. Once a logical
device is created, you must log into it from the iSCSI initiator and format it the same
way you would format a physical disk drive. Once the logical device is logged into
and formatted, it can be used to store data.
