3.4.3  X-ray generator 

The X-ray generator (see Figure 3.8) is intended for generating the X-ray beam with the 

specified field geometry and given exposure parameters for full height person scanning.

The X-ray generators are inherently protected, disabling the X-ray radiation emission 

outside the generator housing. The X-ray generators have an output slit for the X-rays. From 
that slit the radiation is collimated with the required geometry by a beam limiting unit specially 
designated for that.
