4.2 Securat alarm device V2.0 (optional)
This subchapter holds information on the Securat alarm device. For further information,

Separators with automatic seal which are intended for free-standing installation, must
be installed in such a way that after the automatic seal (float) had closed, possibly
escaping light liquid can be collected.
If during installation the excess height required as per DIN 1999 cannot be adhered to,
an alarm device must be fitted K9/chapter 12.
The unobjectionable function of a light liquid separator plant as per DIN EN 858 and
DIN 1999-100 is guaranteed only if retained light liquids are removed regularly and
coalescence insert is cleaned regularly.
The Securat alarm device thus automatically monitors the essential operating condi-
tions in these separator plants.
Short description of the Securat alarm device
The Securat alarm device warns in good time:

When reaching 80 % of the max. permissible light liquid layer thickness
■
When reaching the max. permissible over-fill (in accordance with max. soiling of the
coalescence material)
and it thus signals required maintenance in good time.

and the coalescence insert is cleaned regularly. The safety appliance for light liquid separators automa-
