11. Radio remote control
The radio remote control has been developed specially to control the door lock actuator. It trans
-
mits the control commands encoded with an code change process and thus offers a very high
protection against the theft of the code (”tapping” and subsequent transmission of the radio signal
by persons without authorisation for access).
Neither is it possible to make a copy of the radio remote control in the way that this is very easily
possible with a conventional key.
If the radio remote control is lost, no new cylinder lock or a new locking system is necessary. It is
sufficient to delete the lost radio remote control from the memory of the door lock actuator.
+
Do not fail to observe the instruction for handling the code change system in section
”14 Miscellaneous”.
The first remote control registered for the door lock actuator is the so-called ”Master”
remote for which the storage place „1“ has been reserved. You can only programme
”normal” remotes or other components (like e.g. the radio controlled keyboard ABUS
CFT 1000) using this ”Master” remote control at a later date.
This special feature of the first registered remote control serves to increase security.
No other remote control or other components (like e.g. the radio controlled keyboard
ABUS CFT 1000) programming procedure can be namely carried out on your ”CFA
1000” without the “Master” remote control, even when, for example, a visitor may know
the programming procedure off by heart!
There is a radio remote control within the scope of delivery of the door lock actuator. A total of up
to nine radio remote controls on the door lock actuator can be registered.
a) Inserting battery
• Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control by pulling off the cover of the
battery compartment little to the right in the clockwise direction, e.g., using a coin.
• Remove the cover of the battery compartment. Insert a button cell of the type ”CR2016” with
the correct polarity (the plus pole of battery has to point outwards).
• Replace the battery compartment cover and lock it again by turning it to the left (anticlockwise
direction).
