4. Feature and functions
• The product can be mounted on a conventional cylinder lock (we do however urgently recom
-
mend the insertion of a cylinder lock with an emergency operating function!)
• This can be done without damage to the door leaf (additional fastening holes for screwing to
door fittings/door leaf are available however)
• Operating wheel which can be turned by hand and can be operated independently of motor
operation (e.g. to operate the lock in case of panic or emergency, or if the door lock batteries
are empty or there are disturbances in function)
• For a cylinder lock with emergency operation function, locking or unlocking of the lock from
outside is always possible with the key which belongs to the lock (even when the batteries of
the door lock actuator are depleted or in case of functional faults)
• Battery operation of door lock actuator and radio remote control meaning that no mains con
-
nection close to the door is necessary
• The door lock actuator could also be optionally operated using rechargeable batteries; permanent
operational readiness is attained by means of the ”KM300 RI” interface and the appropriate
rechargeable batteries
• Locking and unlocking are possible by:
a) Radio remote control
The radio remote control (868MHz-technology) has a range of up to 100m in open space (ideal
case for direct visual connection without radio disturbance). Please observe sections 16 for
this.
b) Keys on the door lock actuator
For straightforward and convenient opening or locking of the door, only the appropriate key
on the door lock actuator has to be turned. This means that the radio remote control is not
required.
c) Operating wheel on the inside of the door lock actuator
It enables the door to be opened and locked when the batteries of the door lock actuator are
flat or if a defect should arise. Reliable operation is also possible in case of emergency.
d) Wired remote control via ”KM 300 RI” Interface
This separately available interface offers the possibility of connecting external sensors.
• Integrated LC display for programming or status messages.
• Connectable signal lamp to display drive status
• Integrated signal transmitter for feedback about operation or status
• Warning messages about exhausted batteries on the device concerned.
