TURNING ON THE AUTOMATED IMPELLA
®
CONTROLLER
To turn the controller on:
1.
Press and hold the power switch on the right side of the Automated Impella
®
Controller
for 3 seconds (see Figure 5.1).

The Automated Impella
®
Controller automatically performs a system test when turned on.
A display bar shows the progress of the system test. If the system test passes, the system
displays the startup screen (see Figure 5.2).
If the system test fails, the controller displays a system self check failure message:
SYSTEM SELF CHECK FAILED.
CHANGE CONSOLE IMMEDIATELY.
The controller displays the reason for the system test failure at the bottom of the screen.
