Cleaning and maintenance
Calcareous, residue and bacterial self-cleaning function
Each time approximately 5 liters of water are used in the steam power generator, it will
carry out a self-cleaning cycle of limescale, residues and bacterial of the
ABANTERA
149 C24F21 SJ
unit. When the unit cools down completely and is switched on again for
new use, it will automatically draw water from the clean water chamber of the unit reservoir
to wash the unit’s power generator boiler and steam supply networks at high temperature.
, emptying the dirty water as well as the resulting lime into the dirty water chamber of the
tank. During this short time, the self-cleaning indicator on the control panel will flash and
the unit cannot be used until it stops flashing.
If there is not enough water for this function to work, the unit will warn you with the water
fill indicator on the control panel and it will start flashing, the self-cleaning process will stop
until the reservoir is refilled.
The self-cleaning process will last approximately 3 minutes, after which the steam power
generator will be ready to operate normally again. The flashing Self Clean indicator will
turn off and the Low Steam Indicator will begin to flash, indicating that the Steam Power
Generator is preparing for the Low Steam Power setting.
When ironing is finished, press the power switch for about 2 seconds and unplug it from the
power outlet. If the automatic cleaning function has been activated and completed, wait
for the steam generator to cool down completely. Remove the water tank and pour out the
dirty water
