Rear View
This schematic shows the SIP GW rear side:
On the rear side is the power connector (100-240VAC, 0,5A, 50-60Hz) and ESD / Earth
connection.

Pre-configuration of the ISDN SIP GW
Warning!
Protective Earthing: The equipment is classified as Class I EN60950 and UL60950 and must be
earthed at all times. Units providing power sockets with three pins must be connected by service
personnel to a socket-outlet with a protective earthing connection.
Before connecting cables, connect an electrically earthed strap of 16 AWG wire (minimum) to
the chassis earthing screw, using the included washer. The ISDN SIP GW chassis must be
permanently earthed using an equipment-earthing conductor. The connection to the protective
earthing must be in accordance with the regulations enforced in the country of installation.
3.1
Hardware
The following non-included hardware is required when setting up the ISDN SIP GW :
•
PC including an Ethernet interface.
•
Ethernet HUB or Switch. A HUB is to prefer in case of traces.
o
2 standard Ethernet (RJ-45) cables.
•
A cross over cable can be used, if no hub or switch is available (direct connection between
PC and ISDN SIP GW)
