Basic Network Data
The following network data is required (from customer’s network admin) to start the configuration
on customer’s network:
•
IP Address
•
Subnet Mask
•
Default Gateway
3.3
Hardware setup
The ISDN SIP GW is configured using a PC connected to ISDN SIP GW through an ethernet hub
or switch. Follow the steps below to connect a PC to ISDN SIP GW:
•
Connect the earthing wire to the chassis earthing screw at the back.
•
Connect the Ethernet port labeled I on the CPU module to the hub or switch using a
standard Ethernet cable.
•
Connect the Ethernet port on the server module to the hub or switch using a standard
Ethernet cable.
•
Connect the PC to the hub or switch using a standard Ethernet cable.
•
Configure the Ethernet card on the PC as follows:
Static IP address: 10.1.10.20
Network mask: 255.255.0.0
•
Connect the power cord to the ISDN SIP GW unit.
ISDN SIP GW is now ready for configuration.
