Receiving a call
During an inbound call, the phone rings and the message indicator flashes.
When the caller is stored in one of the directories, the display indicates the associated
name.
The parties stored in the private directory are announced by a specific ring tone
(see "Selecting and adjusting the phone ringer", Page 99). Moreover, if the calling party is
only known to your private directory, the display shows the name stored in that directory.
Adjusting the ring volume level
You can adjust the ringer volume level during the ringing phase.
Interrupting the ringer
During the ringing phase, you can choose to cut the ringer - for the call that is in progress
only.
Press successively the -/+ keys or the left/right keys in the browser
to decrease the volume level (8 levels are available, including
ringer off).
->The phone stores the last setting.
Press the red key.
-> The phone no longer rings. The message indicator continues to
flash to indicate that you have an inbound call.
Note:
You can restore the ringer by pressing the -/+ keys or the left/
right keys in the browser.
The phone will ring again the next time it is called.
