Removing the Protective Plates from the Chassis
If you need to install additional ATM Interface Modules in the other slots,
remove the protective plate as follows:

With a #2 flat-head screwdriver, loosen the large screws.

Remove the plate with screws in place.

Put the plate aside for future use.
If you are not using a particular slot at this time, its protective plate must
be left on.
Installation Procedure
Before you start the installation process, see “Safety Precautions” on page
2.
To install the ATM Interface Module into the chassis:

Pick up the ATM Interface Module and hold it a vertical position, with the
ports facing you, the LEDs at the top, and the daughter cards facing to
the right (Figure 22)

CAUTION:
Be careful not to twist or bend the module as you insert it.

Align the module with the proper slot guides as described, and slide the
module partially into the slot. Make sure that the top and bottom edges
are in the same slot.
