SAP Import Polices
Each time that the router receives an advertised service, it compares the
service to the import polices to decide whether to add the service to the
service table or drop it. If the router accepts the service, the router adds it
to the service table.
The default import policy is none; that is, the router places all services into
the service table.
SAP Export Policies
At certain times, such as when a router is started up or shut down, SAP
advertises services to other routers. Each time the router prepares to
advertise the service, it compares it to the export policies to decide
whether to advertise the service. If the export policy does not prohibit the
service, the router sends it out.
The default export policy is none; that is, the router advertises all services.
