Replacing damaged belt of the rotary
heat recovery unit
In case of damage, breakage, or wear exceeding the
acceptable limit (slipping) of the belt, it is possible to buy
a spare belt that will be ready exactly for the wheel size.
Replacement procedure:
1. Pull out the „old” damaged belt from the heat recovery
unit
2. One end of the new belt is attached to the outer shell of
the heat recovery unit wheel using the tape.
3. Turn the wheel by hand around until the attached belt
end will show.
4. The belt end is then detached from the wheel shell and
both ends are connected using the solder - heat up the
solder at least 10 minutes before soldering (the solder
is included in spare belt delivery).
5. Push the both ends at least 30 seconds against each
other.
6. Remove the protruding ring with knife.
7. Tighten the belt using a driving pulley.
