MI-7248TF Specifications
This chapter describes the MI-7248TF interface module.
5.1 MI-7248TF Front Panel
The MI-7248TF has 48 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces (1Gbps). Interfaces 1~24 are 1000Base-T
RJ-45 ports. Interfaces 25~48 are mini-GBIC (Gigabit Interface Converter) slots. These are
Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP). The mini-GBC slots are above the 1000Base-T ports.
The following figure shows the front panel. See
Section 8.1 on page 59 for details on making
the hardware connections.

5.2 MI-7248TF LEDs
After you connect the power to the switch, view the LEDs to ensure proper functioning of the
switch and as an aid in troubleshooting.
Table 15 MI-7248TF LED Descriptions
LED COLOR STATUS DESCRIPTION
PWR Green On The interface module is turned on.
Off The interface module is off.
SYS Green Blinking The interface module is rebooting and performing self-
diagnostic tests.
On The interface module is on and functioning properly.
Off The power is off or the Interface Module is malfunctioning/
not ready.
ACT
(Active)
Green On The interface module is active.
Off The interface module is idle. When the management
module is removed or is not operating, the interface
module’s default state is inactive.
