The Switch autom atically detects the installed transceiver. Check the LEDs to verify that it is
functioning properly.

Close the transceiver’s latch ( latch styles vary) .

Connect the fiber optic cables to the transceiver.

Use t he following st eps t o rem ove a m ini- GBI C t ransceiver ( SFP m odule) .

Rem ove t he fiber opt ic cables from t he t ransceiver.

Open the transceiver’s latch ( latch styles vary) .

Pull the transceiver out of the slot.
