4.1 Installing a 19" Standard Rack
The detailed installation process is as follows:
1.
Prerequisites:
l
Make sure that the cabinet has been fixed, the position in the cabinet where the
enclosure will be installed is disposed and there is no barrier in or near the cabinet.
Make sure that the enclosure to be installed is ready and has been carried to
cabinet nearby for handling.
2.
If flanges are not installed on the enclosure, perform the following steps for installation:
a.
Take out flanges and special screws from the accessory bag, put the flanges in
the ventro-side of the enclosure, and align the screw hole on the enclosure and
the flange hole.
b.
Use philips screwdriver and special screws to fix the flange to one side of the
enclosure.
c.
Fix the flange on the other side of the enclosure in above steps.
3.
Use the philips screwdriver to remove the four gaskets at the bottom of the enclosure,
and keep them for future use.
4.
Lift the enclosure slowly and carry it to the cabinet.
5.
Lift the enclosure to a position a little higher than sliding rail in the cabinet, place the
enclosure onto the sliding rail and push it into the cabinet carefully.
6.
Fix and fasten the flanges to the square holes of 19-inch cabinet with screws and fix
the enclosure into the cabinet.
